My interest in photography started in childhood with a Kodak Brownie 127, progressing to active involvement in club photography in the 1970s and ‘80s – a golden age of 35mm film and home processing. By the time that digital photography became established the enlarger had been replaced by laundry equipment as the dark room had been reclaimed as a utility room. Now in retirement and living in Bridgnorth, Shropshire, my photographic interests cover a broad range of genres with an emphasis on outdoor photography, including nature and landscape. I enjoy meeting and sharing ideas with other hobby photographers and I see the potential of the Central Region to complement the offerings of camera clubs by arranging events and gatherings of RPS members with all sorts of photographic interests.
