RPS East Midlands UK
RPS East Midlands Region
Welcome to the Home of RPS East Midlands
Regional Hubs are a vital part of the Royal Photographic Society because they give all UK members a local link to the society, whose admin offices are in Bristol.
The RPS region organise an eclectic delivery of events, that together cover all the different genres of photogrpahy, including landscape events, documentary, contemporary, visual art, travel etc. We specialise in photo books and have in the last seven years published many collaborative photo books
Geographically the spreads across the counties of Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicester & Rutland, and Northamptonshire, and is one of the biggest regions in the society.
The Regional Organiser is Stewart Wall and then each county within the region has a representative. You are very welcome to contact either the regional organiser, or your county rep for help finding out about what goes on in the region, and the sorts of things you can do.
We have two volunteers on the distinctions panels. Richard Hall is an assessor on the Licentiate and the Photo book distinctions, and Stewart Wall is a licentiate assessor, and is an assessor and one of the chairs of the Photo book genre.
The RPS East Midlands Region is a busy and exciting part of the Royal Photographic Society.
