Statement of Intent
This Documentary panel was submitted for an Associate Distinction on the 19th February 2020
The railways of the United Kingdom have constantly evolved and are currently undergoing extensive modernisation.
Those who use, view and photograph railways today will create tomorrows memories. Monochrome and sepia style photographs of times passed have come to epitomise those recordings of nostalgia.
A number of those pictures were turned into collectors’ edition post cards.
My panel is presented as part of a collector’s edition of real size Duotone postcards with titles. They show traction, rolling stock and infrastructure from our heritage railways to the modern network including the people who use it.
They will be tomorrows memories of today.
