RPS Scotland Photoforum - Aberdeen
RPS Scotland are holding a 'Photoforum' for the first time in Aberdeen, in the Conference Room at the Aberdeen Arts Centre,33 King St, on Sunday 22nd Mrch 2026, meeting up at 1000 to start promptly at 1030. There will be a break for lunch and the event will finish round 1600.
Aim
To provide constructive feedback on portfolios of work during a relaxed and informal day.
This is an opportunity to come along and meet in an informal atmosphere with either a body of work that you are currently working on or a selection of images to invite discussion among others attending. They could be mounted prints or digital images. This may be just a germ of an idea you are wanting to take forward and are looking for other photographers' thoughts, opinions and ideas as to how to proceed. You may be considering taking a distinction and are looking for information before embarking on the distinctions process. Everyone attending is encouraged to bring a selection of work* (a minimum of 4 images, with a maximum of 15). This is also an opportunity for members of local camera clubs to come along to show their work and meet members of the RPS, hopefully with a view to maybe joining. The day is deliberately light hearted and everybody will be encouraged to join in.
This is not a formal Advisory Day.
- Prints. Preferably card mounted, ideally no larger than 50cm x 40cm.
- Digital images sRGB colour space, on USB stick (may be sent digitally beforehand if necessary - please contact organiser to arrange).
* Please advise the organiser if you are bringing work. The number of available slots to present work will be limited by the duration of the event. We will endeavour to show and discuss work by all who indicate that they will be bringing images, however if we do need to limit the available slots then they will be allocated in order of bookings.
