Croeso! Welcome to the South Wales Region

About

The Royal Photographic Society is a charity which has been leading photography since 1853. Our mission is to promote the highest standards of photography.By becoming a member you can help us achieve our mission and join over 11,000 people worldwide who share this passion.

Our meetings and events are organised throughout the South Wales Region which covers locations like Aberystwyth, Tenby, Carmarthen, Llanelli, Swansea, Port Talbot, Brecon, Bridgend and the Vale of Glamorgan, Aberdare and the South Wales Valleys, Cardiff, Newport, Chepstow and Monmouth.

We also provide advisory days in South Wales on the Distinctions offered by the Royal Photographic Society.

Our upcoming events are following closely the Public Health advice from the Welsh and the United Kingdom Governments concerning the COVID-19 Coronavirus and a number have sadly had to be postponed to protect the public, RPS staff and volunteers.

For information suggestions or questions about our programme in the South Wales Region please contact Rhys Jones ARPS  Email : southwales@rps.org

Starting in June 2020, we are offering online talks and events.

We work closely with other individuals and bodies (local charities, education providers, equipment suppliers and photographic societies and artistic organisations) to present a programme to educate the general public in the field of photography as an artistic medium.
