Meetings are normally free (unless otherwise stated) and are held at RPS House, 337 Paintworks, Amos Vale, Bristol BS4 3AR. Parking is free where available; Trains to Temple Meads Station and local bus services are frequent. Link for more information

We aim to produce a program of monthly meetings that will appeal to a wide range of members interests. The meetings are on Sunday mornings, the doors open at 10:00 and the actual meeting will begin at 10:30. However anyone who may need Technical Advice or specific assistance can between 10:15 and 10:30 consult one or more members of a help team.

We look forward to an exciting 2020, a year that will offer lectures from pre-eminent speakers, technical workshops, group social events such as walks and evening get-togethers: All aimed at providing golden opportunities for photographers at all levels of expertise to develop their skills. In addition there will be three times each year an opportunity for you to present your own work.

2020 will bring to the Western Region a series of Star Speakers ; the first being Martin Parr of the Magnum Agency. Please review full 2020 Programme.

The Western Region will be planning to open its doors to members and their partners, spouses, family with several social gatherings including a summer picnic and a ‘street walk’ where we will all meet and follow a structured path, taking photos then meeting up for a drink and bite to share our findings. Hopefully more interest will be shown in ‘street walks’ whereby a micro group could be developed by a volunteer and these walks could be more frequent.

All through the year, Western Region members can post their images to our Flickr site or Facebook group and view, or even comment on, other members photography. (see below for details)

Lastly, in December our normal monthly meeting becomes the Christmas Party, again we encourage Spouses and Partners to attend, where we enjoy some festive cheer and we all are able put up some of our year's images for others to see.

Keeping in Touch.

We keep in touch with our members with our Monthly Bulletin, through regular e-mails, our Facebook and Flickr sties,

(you need to join Flickr and Facebook separately)
