Become a Photowalk host

Introduction:

As you're undoubtedly aware photography is not just about capturing images; it's about telling a story, exploring the interplay of light and shadow, and appreciating the intricate details of our surroundings. If you're passionate about photography and eager to connect with like-minded individuals, the Royal Photographic Society Western Region has an exciting opportunity for you to become a host for our photowalks!

Unlock the Benefits:

Joining the RPS Western Region Photowalk movement goes beyond just taking pictures. It's an opportunity to forge new friendships with individuals who share your passion for visual storytelling. Whether you're a seasoned photographer or just starting your photographic journey, these photowalks offer a unique platform to learn, share experiences, and grow as an artist.

Savour the Beauty:

Photography is not just a technical skill; it's an art form that allows us to appreciate the world around us. By hosting a photowalk, you'll have the chance to share and explore the beauty of light, capture diverse narratives, feel different textures, and marvel at the varying topographies that surround us. The world is your canvas, and every photowalk is a chance to discover the hidden gems in your community.

Flexible Commitment:

The RPS Western Region understands the demands of modern life, and that's why our photowalks are designed to be flexible. Most photowalks are just two hours long, making it easy for you to participate without disrupting your schedule. Whether you choose to host a one-off event or a handful throughout the year, you have the flexibility to tailor your involvement to your preferences.

Hosting, Not Teaching:

Unlike traditional photography workshops, our emphasis is on hosting rather than teaching. We believe in creating an inclusive and collaborative environment where everyone, regardless of skill level, can contribute and learn from one another. As a host, your role is to facilitate the photowalk, encourage conversation, and create a positive atmosphere for creativity to flourish.

How to Get Involved:

Getting involved in the RPS Western Region Photowalk Movement is simple. If you have a passion for photography and a desire to connect with fellow enthusiasts, express your interest in hosting a photowalk just email western@rps.org

Of course you'll be provided with the necessary support and resources to make your photowalk a success.
