A remarkable collection of 224 autochrome plates have been given to the RPS by the family of Sir Robert Bird, Bt. Bird was a member of the RPS from 1915 until his death in 1960. He created a remarkable series of autochromes photographing his wife, daughter, garden and the places he visited.
