RPS House is the home of The Royal Photography Society, based in Paintworks in Bristol. We have a 101-seat auditorium, a boardroom/classroom, events space, and a photography gallery. All of these spaces are available for hire.

We have a 101-seater cinema. All the seats have a small expandable writing table so your attendees can take notes.
Projecting: We have a Canon XEED 4K600Z projector pointing at an International Major Tensioned Screen in 16:9 Ratio (MJRT400X225). The screen size is 4m wide by 2.2 tall: a 4.59m diagonal. This gives us a resolution of higher than 4K at 4096x2400.
Input: You can either AirDrop, plug in with HDMI, use our MacMini or Blu-Ray player.
Listening: We have an amazing sound system to match the projector and can supply two desk mics and two roaming mics.
The Education Centre
This room is hugely flexible and can cater for anything from a intimate meeting room to a board room for 20 to a small auditorium for 40.
AV: We have a 70 inch Samsung TV on the wall, with a Yamaha soundbar underneath. You can project by AirDropping or plug in with HDMI, or use our Blu-Ray player.
Located on our second floor with access to toilets and to a kitchen for refreshments.
This room is very flexible in function so please contact us to discuss individual needs.
The Resource Centre
If you are interested in learning more about the history of the RPS, or more generally about historical and contemporary photography, our Resource Centre is open by appointment to researchers, students of all ages and to the public.
Within RPS House, all areas are fully accessible with a lift, ramps and restrooms on each floor.

Though there is some accessibility parking in Paintworks, we also have some private parking spaces we can reserve for those with accessibility requirements. Please contact us in advance if you would like a space reserved.
From street level car parking there are lifts available to reach RPS House on the raised ground floor.
