Announcing the recipients of The Royal Photographic Society Awards for 2023. We’re celebrating the individuals who are making significant contributions to both still and moving image.
Several new categories were introduced for 2023 to reflect the constantly evolving nature of photography and the role it plays within society. These include The RPS Eastlake Medal, The RPS Award for Environmental Responsibility and The RPS Award for Social Impact. Congratulations to these inaugural recipients.

Awarded in recognition of any outstanding invention, research, publication or other contribution which has resulted in an important advance in the scientific or technological development of photography or moving image.
Awarded in recognition of an outstanding contribution to the public appreciation, enjoyment or understanding of photography through education, criticism, research, curatorship, or publishing.
(Previously the RPS award for Outstanding Service to Photograph.)
