Howard Klein has always enjoyed being outdoors, so landscape photography had a natural attraction. Howard’s love of colder places gets him to Scotland, with its ever-changing weather and challenges, whenever he can. However, Howard regularly visits East Sussex just 90 minutes away; and also enjoy the opportunities that London offers.
Howard believes in printing as an art form – hence launching the LSIG exhibition.

It is good to be able to transfer my work-based commercial, stakeholder & project management skills into these activities, for the benefit of our members.”

Howard Klein LRPS, a Volunteer Engagement & Events Officer for the RPS Landscape Group, notably organising the Landscape Group Outdoor Exhibition in 2025/26.
Howard has successfully managed two UK-wide exhibition series, with the most recent taking place across eight high-footfall locations during 2025/26 and showcasing 80 landscape photographs by members. The exhibition brought photography to a broad public audience, reaching not only planned visitors but also passers-by. Howard ensured the exhibition's successful delivery and wide appeal and his commitment to promoting the exhibition resulted in significant media coverage, including a live BBC radio interview and features in several leading photography publications. The exhibition was recognised by Amateur Photographer as one of the Best Exhibitions to See in both 2025 and 2026.
Howard manages a Member Led Events programme which attracts Landscape group members and others to participate in photo walks and meet fellow members. As one of the originating Talk-Walk-Talk team where the Landscape and Digital Imaging groups came together to organise and administer a RPS wide project which happen twice annually Howard shows how RPS groups can collaborate and provide opportunities to inspire the members.
