The Royal Photographic Society has been at the forefront of photography for over 170 years and is one of the oldest photographic societies in the world.  It has pre-eminent status as a learned society with an active and enthusiastic membership of amateur, enthusiast, professional and fine art photographers.

Current opportunities

RPS Honorary Treasurer

The Honorary Treasurer has responsibilities to maintain an overview of the RPS’s activities, ensuring they remain sustainable and that resources are used effectively to achieve the organisation’s strategy, aims and objectives. They also need to ensure the RPS maintains the highest level of financial governance and reporting. As an appointed Trustee, the Honorary Treasurer is a full voting Member of the Board of Trustees.

The application process will be overseen by the RPS Nominations Committee and applications must be received by 0900 (GMT) on Monday 17 March 2025.

RPS Finance Committee member

If you have business experience and an interest in finance, we would love to hear from you. The Finance Committee meets monthly and comprises of five persons, including the Honorary Treasurer to bring added support, scrutiny and assurance to the financial arrangements of the RPS. While at least one FinCom member must be a Chartered Accountant, we also welcome FinCom members with business backgrounds that include experience with budgeting and financial management.
