VAG Rollright and Exhibitions 2023 Awards

We have two speakers scheduled for our next meeting in Long Compton on 27th May, Steve Brabner and Leigh Preston, plus the VAG Exhibitions 2023 Awards.

Steve Brabner is a popular and entertaining speaker. His talks are informative and inspiring, his images full of ideas, creativity, and originality. He will be giving us a new talk 'The Stories Behind...'. It is always fascinating to hear how photographers arrive at their pictures - their concepts, projects, and happy accidents – so this is definitely something to look forward to.

Blackpool High Jinks by Steve Brabner

Leigh Preston is a delightful and amusing speaker, a sensitive and prolific photographer. His work covers many genres - landscape, urban and industrial, portrait, street, travel, and documentary. He has taught photography professionally and as a tutor for Jessops. He currently tutors and lectures for Permajet. He is a member of the London Salon, a member and past chairman of Arena and holds many distinctions - FRPS, EFIAP, MPAGB. His presentations are full of his dry wit and the images are insightful and technically superb.

To complete the day, we will host the Visual Art Members’ Print Exhibition 2023 Awards showing PDIs of the medal winning prints, judges awards and commended entries.

Tom Lee, Exhibition organiser writes “After another successful selection of the images for this year’s VA Exhibitions, it is proposed to present winning entrants at a joint event with the Rollright Group on Saturday 27th May. The exhibitions are currently underway at the Landmark Arts Centre in Teddington (from 7th April) and details of other dates and venues will be posted in future newsletters and on the VA website and Facebook pages.”

The cost of the day event is £13, refreshments included, but note we are not able to provide a lunch.

You do not have to be a member of the RPS to access and use this link and Rollright events are not restricted to RPS or VAG members. We are open to everyone with and interest in Photography.
