London Region Photowalks are back

The London Region Volunteer Team is pleased to announce that Photowalks are back post lockdown!  They will be somewhat different from those we have offered in the past but we hope you will come along and enjoy them.

ALL BOOKINGS ARE REQUESTED BY E-MAIL TO THE INDIVIDUAL EVENT ORGANISERS

Apart from the Central London evening walk, we are running events away from the centre of London:  our idea is that there could be one event local to you, which would be easy to get to, without too much train, bus or tube travel.  So in August, we are offering Stratford in the East, Greenwich in the SE, Twickenham in the SW, and Woodberry Wetlands in the North - with just the one event in Central London starting at Charing Cross.

If these walks go well and no further problems (e.g. lockdowns) arise, we will try to repeat and expand the programme next month.  We have an invitation to go to Raphael's Park in Romford, for example and in the South, Croydon has been suggested.

We ask you to book just one event this month as places are limited. This will allow us to manage the events safely, observing social distancing and government guidelines.

To take part, decide which event you would like to join and send an e-mail to the individual named against the event.  Copy your e-mail to londonweb@rps.org with your first and second choices so that we can help to navigate through the bookings.

Please bear in mind that some things will be different!

The walk leaders will be following safe practices in line with social distancing guidance and will require participants to do the same. 

In addition to the usual reminders about wearing sensible shoes and being prepared for the weather (be it hot or cold, wet or dry!), please remember face coverings (for public transport and any time spent in shops or stores) and hand sanitisers.  Also most retailers are no longer accepting cash, so make sure you have a contactless payment card with you.

Should government advice change and local lockdowns occur, for example, causing us to cancel the event, we will contact you as soon as we can.  However, please keep alert for any potential changes and contact us if you have doubts as to whether the walk will run as planned, or not.
