Return Journey

This latest body of works from the East Anglian Contemporary Group represents their own introspection in interpreting the title and underlying thread of Dylan Tomas' 1947 broadcast.

A new Zine "Return Journey" has been produced by the East Anglia contemporary activity group.

In February 1941, the Luftwaffe bombed Swansea for three consecutive nights. Dylan Tomas visited the aftermath of the bombing to assess what had changed since his youth in the city. In 1947 he broadcast his monologue on the wireless.

This latest body of works from the East Anglian Contemporary Group represents our own introspection in interpreting the title and indeed underlying thread of the broadcast. Accidentally, the completion of this project was 85 years to the month of the cause of Thomas’ broadcast.

The Zine can be viewed here on the RPS website or in page-turning form on Issuu.
