The Dannenröder Forest (German: Dannenröder Forst) is a 1,000-hectare, 300-yearold woodland located in central Germany. Since October 2019 the forest has been occupied by environmental activists protesting against a partial clearing of this and neighbouring pristine woodlands to clear the way for a section of the new Autobahn 49 motorway.
