Athena Carey ARPS

During the COVID-19 lockdown, we experienced an enormous loss of freedom entwined with the threat of a potentially deadly virus. Experienced in forced confinement, the resulting feelings of despair, depression, fear, worry, and intense loneliness manifested in me a set of unhealthy behaviours expressed here both literally and symbolically.

Selector Sean Goodhart ARPS selected this series as personal favourite.  “For me this series stood out because it matched my experiences so well during the lockdowns, from excessive TV/sofa time, rooms feeling like prison cells, slowly going mad from being in the same place all the time.”
