Stan Farrow – Abstract Photography
Online Talk: Thursday 6th February 2025
Everyone is welcome, and is free for Creative Eye Group members.
This presentation is a little bit different in style to some of my other photographic presentations. It discusses why photographers should consider doing abstract work, and how this might have a spin-off into their other day-to-day photographic work. The presentation includes a discussion of what abstract art is, and whether there is truly such a thing as abstract photography. It makes comparisons between abstract art and abstract photography, and then go on to introduce the work of a few of the great abstract photographers of the past...

Warren Alani “Inside Out”
This talk will explore how to evoke emotions directly via your camera, and explore some more unusual and left-field photography ideas.
I will present carefully selected and handpicked images from my portfolio captured from around the world, featuring many mini-projects with a mix of street photography, sports, detailed architecture, photojournalism, and many more styles, both in colour and black and white.
Attendees will leave with tips they can bring to their next photowalk on paying attention to the details and getting the picture right in-camera, as well as inspiration for new ideas and subjects to expand their creative eye.
