It’s festival season, and as analogue photography makes a resurgence in popularity it’s only right that analogue photography festivals are also growing in number. This article brings together several analogue photography festivals across the world from New York to Barcelona.
PolaCon NYC
Photographers in New York this weekend may be pleased to learn of a three-day festival dedicated to Instant Film, hosted by the Instant Film Society. Though ticketed events are already sold out, there are, reportedly, many other non-ticketed events available to anybody with a passion or passing interest in instant film photography. In a couple of weeks is a 3-day festival taking place in the Schillerkiez neighbourhood in Berlin-Neukölln hosted by Analogue NOW! As well as exhibitions and workshops, the festival also features a program of manufacturers and camera dealers. The festival is scheduled for 2-4th June in the German capital. Revela’t Contemporary Analog Photography Festival
In its eleventh year, the Revela’t Contemporary Analog Photography Festival takes place over two weeks from the 3rd to the 18th of June in Barcelona, at the Cal Garbat Factory. 11 talks, 18 retailers, 4 family activities, workshops, photowalks and portfolio reviews, all make up the 16-day event. Belfast Photo Festival 2023 - The month-long Belfast Photo Festival will be taking place 1st-30th June in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Bienal ’23 Fotografia Do Porto - The Bienal Fotografia is a 15-day festival taking place in Porto, Portugal with 123 events.
Copenhagen Photo Festival - Hosted from 1st to 11th June, the Danish capital will host 97 events across 41 venues with tickets priced from 110 DKK.
Foto Wien 2023 - Taking place in the Austrian capital, the 2023 Foto Wien festival is set to open on 4th June and will continue all month.
