No doubt you have printed some or many of your images and you’ve probably shared some on your website, if you have one, or a Facebook page or Instagram feed. You may even have produced a book or a magazine featuring your work. But have you ever thought of presenting some of your work in an audio-visual presentation?
A what?
An audio-visual (AV) presentation is simply that: a presentation of images pulled together into a slideshow accompanied by an audio track. The soundtrack might be music, sound effects or the spoken word, such as poetry or a documentary narrative about your images or an event or issue that you have photographed.
So, our newest project, entitled Sound-Scapes offers participants a new way to present and share landscape imagery. We are really pleased to be running this project jointly with the RPS AV group whose members will be providing us with everything we will need in order to get started; from workshops on how to go about creating an AV sequence to advice about what software to use and how to (legally) create or acquire a soundtrack to accompany your images.
The first stage of the project will be an introductory talk from 10:00 to 12:00 on Saturday 20 April 2024. This will be recorded for those who register but are unable to attend.
Participation in the project will be free for members of the Landscape and AV groups.
