Paul Cox ARPS
Regional Organiser

I came to photography comparatively late in life, in my early 30’s with a trusty Olympus 35mm and was immediately smitten by the bug. I moved to Canon when everything turned digital but still love shooting medium format with my Mamiya C330 TLR.

I achieved my Associate distinction in June 2016 through exemption after obtaining my BA (Hons) Photography in 2014.

My interests are in Documentary, Landscape and [natural light] Portraiture, and also run a part-time practice with property, architecture and weddings as my mainstays.

My influences are, but not limited to, Richard Avedon, Alec Soth, Annie Leibovitz, Alex Telfer, Martin Parr, Lewis Hine, The Bechers, and Ezra Stoller.

I started photography in my early teens and I am still enjoying it and trying to improve some 50 years later!

I achieved my LRPS a few years ago and I am now working on my ARPS panel (which proving is a lot harder than I imagined!) My interests lie in Landscape, architecture and fine art nude genres.

Some of my favourite and influential photographers are Ansel Adams, Edward Weston, Helmut Newton, David Bailey, Man Ray, Andre Kertesz, Duane Michals, Cecil Beaton, Norman Parkinson, Horst P. Horst and Bob Carlos Clarke.

Trevor Judd
Trevor Judd

Trevor has had a chequered photographic past. Starting out shooting film, in his teen years, life then got in the way which led to a thirty year hiatus. Returning in the digital era has allowed for his photographic interests to be reawakened.

His professional life has been spent, predominantly, in finance roles. Concurrently, with these professional positions, he has offered the services of his abacus in the support of other organisations and trade bodies, in a voluntary capacity. He’s currently an active committee member in the service of the Professional Garden Photographers Association and the Garden Media Guild.

Trevor has a particular interest in the production of fine art botanical portraits. He’s been fortunate enough to have seen his images exhibited throughout the UK.

Examples of his work can be found at

Christopher Tank
Web Editor

Chris was introduced to photography and darkroom practices at teacher training college. After 20 years teaching design and photography in Secondary and Further Education Chris moved into professional practice, working as a photographer for the Corporation of London Digital Imaging Project. The biggest project of its type at the time, Chris and his assistant photographed over 25,000 paintings, maps, engravings, sculptures, and historic documents for display on Collage, the London Picture Archive.

Moving to RHS Garden Wisley to head the Royal Horticultural Society's Information and Interpretation Department, Chris relished working in a studio at the centre of one of the world's great gardens. Now enjoying early retirement, family, volunteering and personal photography are taking centre stage.

Salisbury and South Wiltshire Event Organiser

The widespread move to digital photography marked my entry to the world of photography, though always on an amateur basis. My emphasis has always been on having fun with photography and the challenge of the new.

As a lifelong mountaineer my natural inclination has been towards landscape images but I have tried my hand at most genres, with varying degrees of success.

I was initially drawn to the RPS via the distinctions programme and became a volunteer because I support the Society’s aims. I was awarded ARPS in 2019 in the Applied Photography genre.

I have been influenced in particular by Ansell Adams and Andre du Plessis.

Bhupinder Ghatahora BA (Hons), ABIPP, ARPS, ASWPP
Event Organiser

Bhupinder has been an active Associate Member of the Royal Photographic Society (RPS) for 15 years. She is a qualified professional freelance photographer with a BA Honours degree in Photography and Digital Imaging.

Over the years, she has studied and used analogue (traditional) cameras/equipment and film developing/printing techniques that are less used due to new digital technologies being introduced within the photography industry. She has adapted and is very conversant with the digital advances and is well practised with the changes.

Bhupinder voluntarily supports the community as the Official Photographer for The Pink Place Basingstoke registered charity and as a Trustee of the Helping Hands registered charity. She also runs and manages a Basingstoke networking group as the Lead Ambassador.

Bhupinder has been running a successful free photography club for several years where new and experienced members meet twice a month. She is keen to promote photography and ‘give back’ to new and seasoned photography enthusiasts what she has learnt over the years.
