We are all different. In the West we celebrate individuality.
However, we strive for equality in other areas. We all have an equal vote. We balance equal opportunity in school and the workplace. We balance this against a desire to succeed and strive to achieve our best.
In our Western world, we aim to treat everyone equally, regardless of age, skin colour, gender, sexuality and disability. Yet achieving this goal remains stubbornly just outside our grasp. Despite our intentions, we struggle with issues such as immigration, traditions, and those that are simply different.
'Equal' is the latest challenge from the RPS Women in Photography group. WIP members are invited to submit their image(s) that explore equality in society.
This competition provides RPS Women in Photography members with a unique platform to explore and showcase their creative talent. So, we encourage you to seize the opportunity, grab your camera, and show us how you see 'equal' through your lens!
We look forward to seeing your entries!
