One of the interesting aspects of being RPS President is the interaction with our community, even in these times of lockdown. Over the last few days I have been sharing ideas with members in Australia about older photographic processes, and a new member just signing up who is an old acquaintance. All have their story to tell and add to my perspective.
I still have some connections into printing industry and academia that has survived the sudden transition to Presidency. The same message is apparent - in discussion with groups in the UK and Germany yesterday we need to be doing stuff together as a community to get through this. I am just finishing a book for one and a webinar for another and this message will be reflected in these.
So it is perhaps unsurprising that the same ideas came back to me last night while indulging in some twilight photography, this time through the connection with members old and new. More shots for my Aperture project but all the while the full moon was calling to me over my shoulder - remembering the work of Warren De La Rue.
It has to be said that I do like moon photography so I finished off the evening with a quick snap. Nikon D750, Nikkor 300mm manual lens at f/5.6, ISO 100, 1/320 seconds. My Phototherapy!
