International Photography Exhibition 163 - Artist Talks

To celebrate the opening of the IPE 163, the RPS is delighted to have a series of talks from exhibitors as part of the IPE Open House on 16 April.

Aneesa Dawoojee is a South London-born fine art portrait photographer. She recently featured in a campaign for Wex Photo Video called 'Change the Image', focusing on women in industry who are trying to change the way we see the world through photography.

Aneesa's series featured in the IPE focuses on life, humanity, cultural diversity and belonging. It shows a community of individuals in South London who do not see colour, but are united by other commonalities, such as the love of sport, finding a family, loss, hardship and determination.

IPE 163 selector Mónica Alcázar-Duarte said of Aneesa's work: "There is a disarming amount of warmth and honesty in Aneesa’s portraits. Her images become a seamless bridge between her, the sitter, and the viewer....The sheer beauty of these images has given me hope and enlightened my soul"

Entry to the talk is free for everyone. Please consider purchasing a ticket which includes a donation of £5. As an independent charity, the RPS needs your support, and your donation helps us to continue our mission of bringing 'Photography for Everyone'.
