Small groups of members sharing, critiquing and developing their landscape photography together.

Processing Circles

One member each month submits a RAW image for everyone else to edit. It is fascinating to see first-hand how fellow members interpret the same starting image in very different ways. This exposure to different editing styles expands your horizons and encourages you to try new techniques with your own images. Groups meet over Zoom and work in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.

The three processing circles are managed by Leigh Foster, Suzy Braye and Steve Miles.

Critique Circles

Each month you submit one image for feedback that goes far beyond quick social-media reactions, offering real insight into how others read your work. Critiquing other members' photographs is just as valuable, sharpening your own eye. Some circles meet by email, others over Zoom, with specialist circles in architecture, intimate and creative landscapes.

The Critique Circles are managed by David Travis, David Fender, Steve Hartley, Suzy Braye, Mark Sims, Martyn Bennett, Chris Burgess, Candia Peterson, Jill Taylor and Lesley Peatfield.

Print Circles

Physical prints are circulated for constructive critique among the Print Circle members. Printing and sharing your photographs within a community of photographers helps you grow as an artist, and the tangible experience of holding a finished print deepens the connection between you and your work in a way that simply looking at a screen can never quite match.

The two print circles are managed by Doug Lodge and Adrian Gidney.

Project Circle

This circle is for photographers working on a long-term project. Rather than unrelated monthly images, you share ongoing work and get feedback on how clearly your intentions come across, exploring sequencing, consistency and meaning. It suits anyone building a panel, a book or an exhibition, and runs on mutual feedback. The group meets monthly over Zoom, for photographers ready to dig deeper.

The project circle is managed by Jean Robson.

Landscape photography is the photographic portrayal of all elements of the land, sea and sky, whether natural, built or influenced by human endeavour.
