Water, in all its forms, offers photographers an endless canvas of creative possibilities. From the raw, untamed power of crashing waves and rushing rapids to the mirror-like serenity of still mountain lakes at dawn, water embodies both drama and peace within a single frame. This month's theme invites you to explore the many moods and movements of our planet's most essential element. Capture the ethereal beauty of long-exposure waterfalls transforming into silky veils, the explosive energy of storm-driven seas, or the gentle ripples that disturb a quiet pond's reflection. Whether you're drawn to water's capacity for destruction or its ability to create moments of profound calm, let your lens tell the story of this ever-changing, life-giving force that shapes our world in countless ways.

How To Enter

Landscape Group members are invited to submit up to 3 images between 1 September - 21 December 2025. All images must have been taken in 2025. Before submitting, please resize your image to 2000px wide. Members can add their own image by clicking on the 'Add Photo' (below). After loading the image, please add the title and your name, don't forget to include your RPS distinction.

Winners and runners-up will have their images displayed in RPS Landscape Group publications and on social media and on Fotovues website or social media.

All Landscape Group members will be invited to vote and the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will be announced on the RPS Landscape Group website and on Social Media.

Open for entries: 1 September - 21 December 2025

Voting: 22 - 28 December 2025

The Prize: Choose from one of Fotovue's outdoor photography books.

Copyright remains with the originator and each photographer shall be deemed to warrant that they own the entire copyright in the work.

The RPS Landscape Group reserves the right to display any entry on the Landscape Group's web pages or social media and Fotovue's website and social media. If we do so, we will always credit the photographer. Images must have been taken in 2025. When submitting your image please use the following naming convention (image-title-by-firstname-lastname).
