Calling all passionate RPS Women in Photography members! 🔊

Are you ready to be part of something incredible? There are now 263 women MPs, representing 40% of the total seats in Parliament. RPS WIP is thrilled to launch the 40% Project, an initiative to celebrate the remarkable rise in female MPs.

A Film Photography Competition for RPS Women in Photography

To take part in this competition, you can use any Colour or B&W film stock you have available. You can enter up to five scanned images per category (Colour or B&W).

The competition will open for entries from 1 November 2024 until 10 January 2025.

📸 Call for contributions: Share your photography insights! 🌟

We’re excited to announce another opportunity to be part of WE ARE Magazine in March 2025. 

This collaborative feature explores the valuable lessons we learn through photography — beyond the technical side. Amongst other things, photography offers profound insights into how we live and connect with others.

This is your invitation to contribute! Share one lesson you've learned through photography in 1,000 characters max.

At WE ARE Magazine, we love to celebrate the amazing, diverse work of women photographers!

We invite members to share their favourite photobook by a female or female-identifying photographer for our March 2025 issue.

By submitting your recommendation, you're amplifying these talented photographers' voices and helping others discover their work.

Don’t be discouraged: WIP member Marge Bradshaw shares an experimental approach to staying creative and embracing winter with her ice lumen process. 

With simple materials and a little patience, you can create one-of-a-kind prints influenced by frost and snow. Get outside, have a go, and share your results!

We’d love to see your results! Share your experiments via Instagram using #icelumen and #rpswomeninphotography.

The RPS Women in Photography Magazine - September 2024

Packed with fresh perspectives, brand-new features and even the debut of a new design, we're certain there’s much to inspire you within its 184 pages.

Reading through the magazine you will find an array of genres and formats, the work of 14 outstanding female photographers, two new collaborative features, a brand new look, an introduction to the extended team of RPS volunteers, and so much more!

We are the discussion that drives a greater awareness of the importance of women photographers past, present and future.

If you are not an RPS Women in Photography group member, we invite you to join our community of passionate photographers. By becoming a member, you can participate in exciting competitions, gain exposure through features in our prestigious WE ARE Magazine, and enjoy numerous other exclusive benefits.
