1st Place
Fallen Leaves by David Pringle
I am based in Newcastle upon Tyne and love to photograph the architecture and landscape of the City and surrounding area.
Newcastle Quayside is one of my favourite locations, with its bridges, modern development, art and cultural landmarks.
There are a number of trees lining the Quayside and I had gone out in October with the intention of capturing some autumn colour, using the iconic Tyne Bridge as a backdrop.
A reflection of the Tyne Bridge in a pool of water on the footpath and some fallen leaves gave me an interesting variation on that theme.
