Talk-Walk-Talk & Speaker
There is a separate report on the TWT Inland Water walks. However at the last TWT Meetng which was free to join, held on 12th November 2025, after we had chosen the images to reresent the Southj West in the National Zine we had a speaker for the afternoon.
Our Speaker was John Perriam ARPS, DPAGB, AFIAP. President of Exmouth Photo Group who has been a member olf the Group for just over 50 years.
He gave us a very engaging and enlighting creative talk with he many still images of his unusual creative work. He took us through his world of creative images which were split into sections. He also showed us a couple of AV's that fitted his subject matter. It was certainly surprising how many ideas and creations he showed us and gave us hints and tips on how he did them. Thank you John, a thoroughly good day.

T-W-T Inland Water (Autumn 2025)
Inland Water can be rivers, streams, lakes, ponds, reservoirs, waterfalls, canals, even floods or recreational venues. You can shoot the water for its beauty, colour, tranquility or turbulance. The humans or animals enjoying the water. It is the basic requirement of life, so think laterally.
These are the sites we shall be visiting
- Grand Western Canal, Tiverton, Devon
- Avon River & Reservoir, Dartmoor, Devon
- Teign Gorge Riverside, Devon
- Jericho Valley & Blue Hills, Cornwall
- The Camel Trail, Padstow, Conwall
5 walks took place for the Autumn Inland Water T-W-T walks in the South West and a page turning Zine has been produced showing 3 images from each walker who took part.
21 participants took part in the South West Region, some doing only the one walk, others perhaps 2 or 3 but we did have 1 person who went to all five walks, quite something with such a spread out area.
The Grand Western Canal has had its Zoom feedback and discussion and the two images to go through to the National Zine have been chosen, namely Infra Walk by Lynn Middleton Flynn and Reeds and Reflections by Di Pell. All the images going in the National Zine have from the five walks in the South West have a * beside the title.
Hower a small zine has been made with just the 7 images chosen for the National Zine HERE
- South West Zine for all five walks can be viewed HERE
Jericho Valley Zine can be viewed HERE - Avon River & Reservoir Zine can be viewed HERE
Our Website has an area of Past Events and Projects where you will see some of the Zines that have been produced for other TWT Walks
Also it would be advisable to visit the Digital Imaging dedicated TWT page to keep you informed on future and past walks. HERE
Quote from a participant
'It’s been great fun doing all these T-W-T's over the past 18 months or so. Can’t remember if that’s four or five, but I’ve made a bunch of new photo friends and had a great time doing so. Whoever thought up the T-W-T idea was inspired. As my mate Steve says, “Long Live T-W-T!” ' – Neil Purcell
