The South West Region covers Devon and Cornwall and we try to cover all parts of the area on photographic trips. With a large variety of coast, moorland and tourist areas we have much to keep us busy photographically. We usually have an annual after Christmas get together outside somewhere in early January which is a get together after the festivities. Other field trips, either in our own Region or just outside, are held throughout the summer months. If a member has a place of interest which you think would warrant a field trip please contact the Regional Organiser and advise him that you would be prepared to lead a field trip. Reasonable expenses for travel etc will be paid.
Throughout the autumn and winter period speakers are arranged along with Distinctions Advisory days, lectures and in February our Annual General Meeting. In addition members of the committee are prepared to visit camera clubs to talk about the Distinctions which are available through the Society.
Please see the events page to find dates and please contact the event leader if you intend to join as it is useful to have an idea of numbers, but please do contact a committee member if you need any further help or advice.
The region also runs 3 travelling print folios, one of which is purely mono, and prints can be produced digitally or analogue, and if you are interested in joining, please contact Margaret Hocking at email@example.com for further information.
In addition to the travelling print folios we have a group in West Cornwall who meet bi monthly, but attending this group is not limited to West Cornwall members, all RPS members will be made welcome if you can make the trip, dates of their meetings are shown on the events pages or from Vivien Howse ARPS by email on firstname.lastname@example.org, If you are interested and would like to come and be added to our email list then please contact Vivien. Additionally we have a strong Regional VA Group in the area led by Di Wilkins email@example.com along with a Regional Contemporary Group for which Adrian Hough is the leader firstname.lastname@example.org
