Talk-Walk-Talk
Talk-Walk-Talk Project
On the 17th April at Bovey Tracey Community Centre we met for our talk on the Architecture walks that took place in Exeter, Tamar, St Ives, Truro and Bridport. We made the choices for the e-zine and the images chosen can be viewed on Issuu by clicking here
Our new Talk-Walk-Talk Project will be an on going project in several sections. Join a talk by an eminent speaker and then do the walk, then get together to discuss the images taken.
We hope you will join us and enjoy this T-W-T programme. It is a great opportunity to get
together on your walk with other local photographers.
Images from walks
At the follow-up talks, participants select their best images for presentation. These presentations can take various forms depending on the group, and here are a couple of examples:
- A zine showing a selected image from each of the Coastal walks
- A zine from the Sand Point Coastal walk near Weston-super-Mare
- A zine from the Dunfermline ABE walk

Talk-Walk-Talk - Architecture
Our second Talk-Walk-Talk project features Architecture and the Built Environment. This covers all human-made buildings and structures from the present day back to ancient times, from cities to rural locations.
We are offering group walks in over 40 locations around the UK. For our international members and UK members on islands where no walks are planned, we will be offering an alternative;
You may wish to consider different approaches to photographing the built environment such as:
- Cityscapes (i.e. big views of built environments)
- "Portraits" of buildings (or groups of buildings)
- Architectural details
- Abstracts
- Literal vs creative or artistic portrayals.
Potential subject examples include:
- Modern and contemporary architecture
- Historical buildings or streets
- Ancient monuments.
- Bookings open 8 January 2024
- Online TALK with Mark Reeves FRPS 19 February 2024
(this will be recorded if you miss it; everyone who registered will get a Zoom link nearer the date) - WALKs 20 February to 31 March 2024
