Online DI Members' Evening
March 24th 2026, DI members free

An opportunity to come online and meet fellow members and the DI Committee.

  • To ask any questions you may have.
  • To contribute new ideas you might like to see.
  • To find out what DI has to offer you.
  • To meet other DI members.

This is an open Zoom meeting for you to have your say. It will be especially interesting to newer DI members or perhaps those of you who do not engage as fully as you might wish and want to find out more. We're a friendly bunch, so don't be shy!

Recruiting now - Places of Religious Significance

Now well into its fourth year, our popular project (in collaboration with the RPS Landscape and Creative Eye Groups) is currently focused on places of religious significance - churches, temples, shrines, neolithic stone circles etc..

We're currently recruiting people to lead walks for the programme on mainland Britain, and our international and island members can make special arrangements for solo or small group walks.

Visit our dedicated T-W-T website for full details.

Saturday webinar - "What are we going to do NOW about AI?" with Christine Widdall
April 11th 2026, DI members free

Christine will examine how AI is reshaping photography, from its integration into editing software to the challenges of detection and policing. She’ll address copyright and ownership in the age of AI, and explore AI-generated images as a new art form — illustrated with examples from her own innovative work.

Christine's photographic journey began in a darkroom at the age of five and has taken her through decades of discovery, from film to digital. Today, she is passionate about creating images that tell stories, whether capturing the rugged beauty of Saddleworth, the intricacies of wildlife, or creating composites that bring ideas to life.
