London Exhibitions - LRMPE 2026

The London Region holds an annual members' print exhibition - the current one is LRMPE 2026.

London Region Members' Print Exhibition 2026. Don't forget to sign up to have a picture in the London Region Members Print Exhibition 2025. Follow the link below for further details and to book your place. (Bookings are via Eventbrite.)

To take part you must be an RPS London Region Member.

Background. For the last eight years, London Region has held an Exhibition of London Members' work.

Our philosophy is that each London Member should have at least one picture selected.

Change from previous years: Previous, entry into this exhibition has been free but this year we will be asking for a £10 donation from each exhibitor towards the costs. This will be collected in March.

The process is that each London Member puts forward four digital images, which are voted on "democratically" via Zoom by these present at each Selection Morning.

This year we will select the image/s online, as we did previous years, with four scheduled Selection Mornings. with a maximum of 33 submissions and we plan on finishing by lunchtime.

Following the selection, we will ask Members to print and mount their images to fit into a standard 50cm x 40cm frame. For Members who are unable to print and mount their image, we can arrange to print their image at cost (estimate £12 - £15). As this is a "Print Exhibition", we really prefer people to print and mount their own image so that they can be sure it is shown as they wish.

Here's what you need to do:-

  • Sign up by following one of the links above
  • Prepare four digital images for the Exhibition Selection Morning. Images can be any size but, for guidance, should be at least 1mb.
  • Upload to Dropbox by noon the day before the Selection Morning; link will be sent to all those who have signed up.
  • Set aside the morning to share in the selection process!

What shape will the day take:-

  • Everyone who signs up will be able to join via Zoom
  • First Round. For each photographer, pictures will be shown in a group of four and then individually before being shown as a four. Those present will have two votes (using the zoom voting process for top Left, Top Right, Bottom Left or Bottom Right) for the two they think are best.
  • Second Round. This will be the opportunity to see each photographer's two shortlisted images again and to have one vote on an "either/or" basis for the image you would like to see hung in the exhibition as a print. This will give us a set of Preferred Images to form the printed exhibition; and a set of Reserve Images which will be shown digitally at the exhibition.

What's next

All the Preferred Images will be displayed as framed and mounted prints in the Exhibition. If there is wall space available, our Exhibition Designer and Organisers may choose some additional from the Reserve Images to create a "balanced" Exhibition. Those Reserve Images which cannot be displayed as prints, will be included in a rolling digital display.

We hope that we will be able to move the Exhibition round London to create more opportunities for people to see it - so if you have a Gallery in mind, please let us know. We may even be able to take the Exhibition overseas again!

General

To take part you must be an RPS London Region Member.

The selection process will be on zoom: although members will be printing their own photos, the costs of the gallery and associated costs have increased and we will be asking exhibitors for a £10 donation towards teh costs which will be collected in March.  Additionally, if we move the Exhibition to another London location or if, for example, we take the Exhibition overseas as we did two in a previous year or we hold an outdoor exhibition as we did in a previous year, we will have to ask for contributions from those exhibiting in this new exhibition to cover all the costs.

We hope you will enjoy our Exhibition and the Exhibition selection process, which has been great fun in the past.

Just to confirm:

Selection Days are: Saturdays 17th and 24th January and Sundays 18th and 25th January from 10am to 1pm latest. You do not have to attend on the day your images are selected - those present will select your images in your absence.
